Deciphering a Few Words

They were on a late night drive, cruising through the wet roads of Bangalore. The 500 km experienced ‘she’ was on the wheels relying solely on the navigation system and the guidance provided by the 50 km experienced ‘he’ who was riding shotgun.

A policeman who seemed to be in his early 30’s stopped their car for routine check. He peeped inside the car through the driver’s window and smiled slyly at him after uttering a few words in Kannada. When they didn’t respond, the policeman let them pass.

As they drove away after the check, both of them started to decipher what the policeman had uttered, which they clearly didn’t comprehend due to language barriers. Within a few minutes, she had deciphered the words, or atleast it’s meaning. The policeman’s words meant, ‘Are you that drunk that you can’t even drive?’
